A structured analysis of your facility's own data

A Friction Audit is a remote assessment of your facility's operational flow. RAMP analyses historical arrival and service data to identify your congestion threshold — the point at which arrival clustering causes stable flow to break down — and the specific conditions that have historically preceded it.

The audit requires no infrastructure changes and no operational disruption. It works from data you already have.

A RAMP Stability Review™ built from your facility's data

Event Reconstruction

A real instability event from your operation, traced minute by minute: what happened, when, and why.

Threshold & Exposure

Your facility's congestion threshold and an indicative estimate of observed delay and disruption cost.

Recommended Actions

A small number of specific, low-cost adjustments — not a generic checklist.

Five steps from enquiry to report

1

Initial discussion

15-30 minutes to understand your facility's configuration and what data is available.

2

Data review

Confirming what's available and in what format. We'll tell you at this stage if anything is missing.

3

RAMP analyses your data

Arrival patterns, queue formation, service durations, instability events — all from your own records.

4

Stability Review delivered

A structured report of findings, threshold identification, cost exposure, and recommended actions.

5

Optional: Stability Simulation

Model how changes in arrival volume or service time would affect your facility's stability going forward.

What we need from you

What we ask for:

  • Arrival timestamps at your facility's control point
  • Service start and end timestamps
  • A review period — typically two to four weeks

What we do not need:

  • Customer names or cargo contents
  • Pricing, contracts, or revenue information
  • Personal information of any kind

Vehicle or activity identifiers can be fully anonymized. RAMP studies timing patterns, not the parties involved.

The standard Friction Audit covers a single control point — one gate, bay, staging area, or comparable access point. Facilities with multiple interacting gates or bays typically benefit from a tailored audit. Full methodology and scope →

Pricing is discussed during the initial conversation and is based on facility size and engagement scope. We prefer to understand your situation before quoting — contact us to begin.
